Health center to provide preventive and urgent care on Fujifilm's Greenwood, SC campus

Greenwood, S.C., July 9, 2013 — Fujifilm continues to invest in the health of its employees. To make it easier for employees to become and stay healthy and reinforcing its commitment to a healthy work environment, Fujifilm has announced the Grand Opening this week of its new Picture Perfect Health Center (PPHC) on the company’s Greenwood, South Carolina campus. The PPHC was designed to complement the employees’ current primary health care providers. The center will provide employees with preventive care, including annual exams, lab testing, health and cancer screenings, vaccinations and immunizations; and urgent care, including emergency care.

“This Picture Perfect Health Center is about more than just making it easier for our employees to access quality health care,” said John Ueno, president, FUJIFILM Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc. “It represents our commitment to building a culture of health here at Fujifilm and a more successful working environment for all employees.”

Managed and staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals from Take Care Health Systems, a Walgreens Health and Wellness Company and leading provider of onsite healthcare services, the center will be open five days a week and is available to all employees. Employees can also sign up for the PPHC’s Prescription Delivery Service, which allows them to pick up their medications at the center.

Grand opening festivities began today with an official ribbon-cutting event and tours of the PPHC. Speakers included: John Ueno, president, FUJIFILM Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc.; Mike Prutting, vice president of Human Resources, representing FUJFIILM Holdings America Corporation and FUJIFILM North America Corporation; and Dr. James Thiel, regional medical director, Take Care Health Systems.

Activities and events for employees will continue for the rest of this week to promote the center and healthy behaviors. These include: healthy cooking demonstrations; chair massages; cardio fitness instructions; a visit from a mobile mammography van; lectures about skin and vision care; and blood pressure and cholesterol checks. Guest instructors and visitors dropping by include representatives from Take Care Health Systems and Cigna; plus Parisi Farms of Abbeville, Wellness Works of Self Regional Healthcare, Greenwood Family YMCA, Old Main Catering, The Sweatbox, SC Spine Center, Palmetto Eyecare, Piedmont Technical College School of Massage Therapy and Radiant Aesthetics.
